Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? Mother love should inspire reverence, but sometimes a mother’s devotion encourages her child to be selfish. The death of her good-for-nothing husband throws a great responsibility on Beth’s mother. In order that her daughter may have every advantage, including education at a fashionable boarding school, the mother toils long hours in a sweatshop. When Beth makes a rich marriage and is ashamed of her mother, the greatest sacrifice of mother love is made. But through the innocence of her own baby girl, the selfish woman’s eyes are opened, when the mother, who never forgets her daughter’s birthday, risks discovery to be near her darling on an anniversary that is fraught with the most intense memories for both of them. After years of self-sacrifice, her cup of happiness is filled to overflowing.
