Horkheimer. / Eight chapters (two reels each): [1] “Phantom Fame,” released 20 January 1918; [2] “Countfeit Clues”; [3] “The Catspaw”; [4] The Sin of Innocence”; [5] “Sold for Gold”; [6] “In Poverty’s Power”; [7] “The Rebound”; [8] “The Shifting Sands.” / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / This series was shot circa 1915 through circa 1916. Working title: Who Wins? This serial was intended as a follow-up to Pathé’s Who Pays? (1915) serial. The serial was released in Portugal as Miragem de Glória beginning 12 January 1921.
