Synopsis: [From Méliès promotional materials] Showing the interior of a kitchen, with the cook trying to embrace and kiss the maid, who drops the dishes and runs away as she hears the proprietor approaching. The cook hides in a cupboard, but is discovered by the manager, who squeezes the door of the cupboard, thereby cutting off the head which is projecting. At this he is horrified and places the head on a table, where it starts grinning at him. He takes the head and throws it into the cupboard, and out walks the cook, who proceeds to literally wipe the floor with his tormentor. A wonderful and humorous subject.
