Cleo Madison

Born 26 March 1883 in Bloomington, Illinois, USA.
Died 11 March 1964 in Burbank, California, USA, of a heart attack.

Married Don Peake, 25 November 1916.

Cleo Madison began her acting career as a member of a theatrical troupe in 1910 in Santa Barbara, California. She began film work circa 1913 at The Universal Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, and by 1916 had graduated to leading roles, writing and film direction. After several years of a heavy workload, she suffered a nervous breakdown in 1922. Returning to work in 1923, she continued until her permanent retirement from motion pictures late in 1924.
