Al Christie

Born 24 November 1881 in London, Ontario, Canada, as Alfred Ernest Christie.
Died 14 April 1951 in Hollywood, California, USA.

Married Nora Leadbitter.

Al Christie was responsible for establishing and operating the first permanent motion picture studio in Hollywood, California, for the Nestor Film Company. For Nestor, Christie produced, directed and wrote many short comedies.

In 1916, Al and his brother Charles Christie formed the Christie Film Company, Incorporated, which produced a popular series of short and feature-length comedies.
