The Music Box Theatre was located in downtown Portland. [?] The theater may have previously been known as the Liberty Theatre. The Music Box Theatre was in operation long enough to make the conversion to Vitaphone sound film presentation.
Portland’s street numbering changed in 1933.
The theater building was demolished, and an office building stands on the block.
Many years later, at least from the 1960s through the 1980s, a Music Box Theater operated in a location farther south on Broadway just north of the Heilig/Mayfair/Fox theatre. That location is now a Banana Republic retail store.
