The Madison Street Theatre was a live performance venue, and was renamed in 1904 as the Alcazar Theatre and operated through 1905.
The renamed Star Theatre (not to be confused with the Star Theatre) was operated by John Considine chiefly as a vaudeville house that occasionally exhibited motion pictures. Al Jolson appeared at the Star in 1907. The theatre closed in 1911 and the building was demolished in 1913.
