This DVD-R edition, originally prepared for release on VHS videotape in 1997, has been mastered from a very-good 16mm reduction print, with a broad range of greytones and reasonable image detail. Yup, for a 16mm print, there’s the typical amount of dust, speckling, schmutz, frame jitters, blown-out highlight details, and other print flaws. Upscaling on high-definition equipment may have a hard time eliminating all evidence of the disc’s coarsely interlaced picture.
The film is accompanied by a piano score of compiled music performed on MIDI computer.
For now, this is our recommended home video edition of the film.
