Constance Bennett

Born 22 October 1904 in New York, New York, USA, as Constance Campbell Bennett.
Died 24 July 1965 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, USA, of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Daughter of actor Richard Bennett and actress Adrienne Morrison;
sister of actress Joan Bennett and actress Barbara Bennett.

Married Chester Hirst Moorehead, 16 June 1921; annulled, 17 January 1923.
Married Philip Morgan Plant, 3 November 1925; adopted son, Peter Bennett Plant, born 1929; divorced, 14 December 1929.
Married Henri de la Falaise, 22 November 1931; divorced, 14 November 1940.
Married actor Gilbert Roland, 20 April 1941; daughter, Lorinda Roland, born 21 April 1938;
daughter, Gyl Roland, born 9 December 1941; divorced, 20 June 1946.
Married Brigadier General John Theron Coulter, 22 June 1946; until her death, 24 July 1965.

Constance Bennett begans screen acting in 1916 with an extra role in The Valley of Decision (1916), with her serious acting career begining in 1922. It wasn’t long before Constrance began bleaching her hair, by the time of My Wife and I (1925), to become the blonde beauty that audiences remember today.
